IDEATION
Our team was tasked with creating a new category for our company with retailers—tech accessories. This began with a collaborative team creation of the Target Back to School U Brands tech set.
IMPORTANT NOTE: we were given this opportunity by the target buyer and had 3 weeks to pull it together to present as an option for back to school 2025.
So we jumped right in: I immediately decided the materials for us were RIPSTOP and CORDUROY—these are the first concepts of those laptop sleeves
COLOR AND MATERIALS STRATEGY
Mood board outlining the colors and material vibe we were going to be championing for this collection.
Once the mood board was approved, we pulled pantones and started refining product creation.
REFINEMENT
We quickly went through rounds of color application, but weren’t satisfied
We started to get closer but something still wasn’t working
Finally, after a slight tweak on the construction, we got to where we wanted.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Now that we had the concepts finalization, and had gotten it approved by the Target buyers, we needed to deliver.
FINAL PRODUCT
The Target Tech Back to School U Brands collection ran from July 2025-September 2025
